Le président américain Donald Trump urged Iran to quickly reach an agreement to end the ongoing strikes, threatening to continue the bombings if it refused.
During a cabinet meeting at the White House, he asserted that Tehran had "the opportunity to permanently abandon its nuclear ambitions" and avoid further escalation.
"If they refuse, we will be their worst nightmare," he said, adding that the United States would continue to strike Iranian territory until an agreement was reached.
These remarks come as indirect discussions appear to be continuing, although a senior Iranian official described the American proposal as "unilateral and unfair".
The US president, however, asserted that negotiations were underway and that Iran would be willing to reach a compromise, claims denied by Tehran.
Washington is seeking, in particular, an agreement to end the conflict, guarantee free passage through the Strait of Hormuz, and limit Iranian military capabilities.
This new statement is part of a maximum pressure strategy, combining military intensification and openness to negotiation.
It reinforces fears of a sustained escalation, as the war between the United States, Israel and Iran enters its fourth week.
In this context, the diplomatic outcome remains uncertain, despite international efforts to obtain a ceasefire.
