Trump says the end of the war against Iran will be decided "mutually" with Netanyahu

Le président américain Donald Trump stated that the end of the war against Iran would be determined in consultation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, emphasizing Israel's central role in decisions regarding the outcome of the conflict.

In a telephone interview with the Israeli media Times of IsraelTrump explained that the date for the end of hostilities would not depend solely on Washington. According to him, any decision would be made taking into account discussions with the Israeli government and developments on the ground.

"I think it's reciprocal... a little. We've discussed it. I'll make a decision at the appropriate time, but everything will be taken into account," the US president said, suggesting that Israel would have a say in the strategy and timing of a possible de-escalation.

These remarks come as the conflict in the Middle East continues to escalate, with US and Israeli strikes against Iranian targets and tensions spreading to several countries in the region. The clashes have already resulted in numerous casualties and are fueling concerns about a wider escalation.

Close coordination between Washington and Tel Aviv is a central element of the current military strategy. The United States supports Israel in its operations against Iran, while both allies seek to weaken Tehran's military capabilities.

Trump's statements, however, leave room for uncertainty regarding the duration of the conflict. By asserting that the decision will be made "at the appropriate time," the American president suggests that the outcome of the war will depend as much on military considerations as on political ones, in a particularly unstable regional context.
