US President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart. The US administration also announced that several major defense agreements would be unveiled on the sidelines of the summit. When asked about Greenland, US officials stated that the Trump administration still viewed the acquisition of the territory as the best long-term solution to meet NATO's strategic needs in the Arctic, while specifying that other options were also being considered with the authorities of Greenland and Denmark.
Regarding the meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, a White House official indicated that Donald Trump wished to continue his efforts to end the war in Ukraine. According to the official, this objective remains a priority for the American president, who intends to use the NATO summit to advance diplomatic discussions.
