Poland: Record-breaking charity stream raises millions for children with cancer

An exceptional nine-day live broadcast in Poland raised a record amount for children with cancer, illustrating the power of online mobilizations.

Organized from a Warsaw apartment by influencer Piotr Hancke, known as Latwogang, this charity event raised over 250 million zlotys, or about 69 million dollars.

The live stream brought together numerous personalities from the worlds of music, sports, and entertainment. Among them were tennis player Iga Świątek and footballer Robert Lewandowski, who helped to amplify the event's visibility.

This massive mobilization demonstrates the growing impact of content creators and streaming platforms in solidarity campaigns.

Beyond the record amount, this initiative highlights a new way of raising funds, capable of bringing together an international community around a humanitarian cause in just a few days.

The funds raised will be used to support research and care for children with cancer, in a show of solidarity widely praised in Poland.
