China has warned of the fragility of the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, calling on the international community to firmly oppose any action that could reignite tensions.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told his Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Ishaq Dar during a phone call that the current truce was "very fragile" and required sustained efforts to preserve.
According to Beijing, the absolute priority must be to prevent a resumption of hostilities and to consolidate the gains of the ceasefire, achieved after difficult negotiations. Any initiative that risks escalating the confrontation must be avoided, Wang Yi insisted.
China also encouraged Pakistan to play a greater role in mediating the conflict, praising its recent diplomatic efforts. Beijing stated its readiness to contribute to a peaceful solution.
This stance comes amid persistent tensions in the Middle East, where recent clashes and military measures have weakened the already precarious balance of the region.
By calling for international mobilization against escalation, China seeks to promote lasting de-escalation, as the risks of a flare-up remain high despite the current truce.
