Easter at Windsor: the royal family gathered around Charles III, without Prince Andrew

King Charles III and Queen Camilla attended the traditional Easter service at Windsor Castle on Sunday, surrounded by several members of the British royal family, in a context marked by the notable absence of Prince Andrew and his family.

The monarch, who is also Supreme Governor of the Church of England, attended this major religious service on the royal calendar. The ceremony took place at St. George's Chapel, an iconic venue for major monarchical celebrations.

Prince William, heir to the throne, was present alongside his wife Catherine and their three children. Other members of the royal family also attended the event, including Prince Edward and Anne, the Princess Royal.

Upon their arrival, Charles III and Camilla were greeted by the Dean of Windsor, Christopher Cocksworth. The Queen wore a red coat and hat for the occasion, marking this important celebration in the Anglican tradition.

The absence of Prince Andrew, already withdrawn from public life, did, however, attract attention. Neither he nor any members of his family were present at the service, highlighting his continued distancing from official British monarchy duties.
