Netanyahu acknowledges difficulties in influencing Trump's policy on Iran, according to sources

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly admitted privately that Israel has limited room for maneuver to influence the decisions of the American president. Donald Trump regarding Iran, while Washington is conducting indirect negotiations in the context of the ongoing conflict, according to two sources close to the matter.

According to these Israeli officials, Netanyahu is concerned about the new diplomatic framework between the United States and Iran, in which Israel finds itself largely excluded from discussions aimed at establishing an initial agreement to stabilize the conflict.

This repositioning comes as the United States and Iran attempt to find common ground on several sensitive issues, including the Iranian nuclear program, the lifting of economic sanctions, and regional military activities.

According to sources, a senior Israeli official reportedly stated that Netanyahu "currently has no room to maneuver to influence" Washington's position on this issue.

Israel, for its part, continues to insist on maintaining its freedom of military action in the face of the threats it identifies in the region, particularly in Lebanon against Hezbollah. This position could conflict with any future peace agreement if it includes restrictions on Israeli operations.

Discussions remain fragile, as the actors involved acknowledge persistent differences and limited progress towards a comprehensive compromise.
