The Israeli army has just announced, this Friday, May 24, that it has recovered the bodies of three hostages held in the Gaza Strip since the Hamas attack on Israeli soil on October 7. The hostages are Chanan Yablonka (Israeli), Michel Nisenbaum (Israeli-Brazilian), and Orion Hernandez-Radoux (Franco-Mexican), companion of Shani Louk. The bodies were recovered during a joint operation by the Israeli army and intelligence services in Jabalia, in the north of the warring territory 

Emmanuel Macron expressed his "immense sadness" following the death of Orion Hernández-Radoux, stating that France remains committed to the release of all hostages. Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, visiting Valencia, expressed his thoughts and solidarity with the family, friends, and loved ones of Orion Hernández-Radoux. He emphasized the scale of the massacre and the terrorist attack committed by Hamas, and affirmed that the absolute priority is to achieve the release of the French hostages so that they can be safely reunited with their loved ones.

The hostages, including Orion Hernandez-Radoux, were murdered during the massacre on October 7, 2023. They were found in the northern Gaza Strip during a nighttime operation. Orion Hernandez-Radoux, 30, along with the other hostages, were killed in a Hamas terrorist attack. They were at the Supernova music festival, near the community of Rim, when they were attacked by Hamas terrorists. They fled to the Mefalsim region where they were murdered and kidnapped 

In total, 121 hostages or bodies of victims kidnapped by Hamas are still detained in the Gaza Strip, according to the Israeli army.
