Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva underwent his annual health check-up at the Sírio-Libanês Hospital in São Paulo, and all medical results were normal, according to a statement released by the hospital.
The examination was carried out Saturday morning at this renowned hospital in the Brazilian metropolis. Doctors indicated that no abnormalities were detected and that no further tests were necessary at this time.
The 80-year-old head of state will, however, continue to benefit from regular medical monitoring provided by his medical team, led by cardiologist Roberto Kalil Filho and physician Ana Helena Germoglio.
Lula's health has been the subject of particular attention since last year. In 2024, he underwent two surgeries intended to treat and prevent a brain hemorrhage.
Despite these recent health problems, the Brazilian president stated in 2025 that he was considering running for another term in the next presidential election.
Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has already served as President of Brazil twice between 2003 and 2010. He returned to power in January 2023 after winning the presidential election against former President Jair Bolsonaro.
