Sofia will submit to Parliament on Monday a request for approval to station eight American refueling aircraft at its military base in Bezmer, 260 kilometers southeast of the capital.
Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev announced that his government will ask Parliament for authorization from Washington to deploy up to eight refueling aircraft to the Bezmer military base. This facility, located approximately 260 kilometers southeast of Sofia, would host these aircraft in support of US military operations in the Middle East.
Bulgaria, a NATO member, is thus submitting a request from the United States to its legislative assembly. The vote is expected later today.
