Le président américain Donald Trump announced the suspension of attacks against Iranian energy facilities for a period of ten days, at Tehran's request.

In a message posted on his Truth Social network, Donald Trump indicated that this pause would be effective until the evening of April 6, leaving a window for ongoing diplomatic discussions.

The US president asserted that negotiations with Iran "are going very well," despite denials and persistent tensions between the two sides.

According to him, this decision aims to promote a possible agreement, as fighting has continued for several weeks.

Donald Trump also specified that Iran had initially requested a shorter suspension of seven days, before Washington finally granted a ten-day extension.

This announcement comes amid fluctuating US strategy, with objectives ranging from military weakening of Iran to regime change.

The US president also claimed that the United States had already "won the war," a statement that contrasts with the continuation of hostilities on the ground.

This pause could represent an opportunity to revive diplomatic discussions, even if many uncertainties remain.

It also highlights the complexity of a conflict where military, energy and geopolitical issues are closely linked.
