Iran has executed two men accused of being linked to the People's Mujahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), according to official media.
Iranian authorities say the two individuals were found guilty of participating in armed attacks linked to this opposition group, which Tehran considers terrorist.
These executions are part of a recent series of killings targeting people accused of belonging to or supporting the WIPO. According to the organization itself, four of its members had already been executed earlier in the week.
The MEK condemned these executions, accusing the Iranian government of seeking to mask its fragility by targeting political prisoners and sympathizers of the movement.
According to the group, the two executed men had been arrested in January 2024, before their death sentences were confirmed in December 2025.
These events come amid heightened internal and external tensions for Iran, as the country is engaged in a regional conflict and faces increasing political pressure.
The issue of executions and the treatment of opponents remains a recurring concern for human rights organizations, which regularly denounce the use of the death penalty in politically motivated cases.
