The Philippines said Thursday that Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro met with U.S. National Security Adviser Mike Waltz at the White House to reaffirm the enduring alliance between the two countries.
The Philippine Defense Department said in a statement that Manila, a U.S. ally with whom it has a defense treaty, is among the first countries to engage in dialogue with the new U.S. administration to discuss critical security issues.
