Nawat Itsaragrisil claims to possess information he has not yet made public and issues a warning to his adversaries: "If I speak, Puerto Rico will tremble; I still have much to say." This statement is particularly sensitive given that Puerto Rico is set to host Miss Universe 2026. The head of Miss Grand International and CEO of Miss Universe for the Eastern Region maintains that he is still holding back from revealing everything because he wants to "save Miss Universe ." But his latest statements go far beyond disagreements over the direction or control of the competition. They come as several key figures in Miss Universe face serious accusations and challenges.
Raúl Rocha is notably implicated in Mexican investigations into suspected organized crime, drug trafficking, arms trafficking, fuel smuggling, and suspicious financial transactions —accusations he denies. Ronald Day, now CEO of Miss Universe for the West region, is publicly accused of sexual harassment by José Fernández . As for Fátima Bosch, her crowning as Miss Universe 2025 continues to be contested by several former jury members, who have publicly questioned the circumstances of her election. It is amidst this accumulation of scandals that Nawat now claims to have much more to reveal.
"If I speak out, Puerto Rico will also be in shock."
Puerto Rico is set to host Miss Universe 2026. Nawat Itsaragrisil's warning takes on a particular resonance when he asserts that further revelations could cause a real earthquake around the competition: "I still have a lot to say. It was a huge mistake for him to attack me. There's still so much I can talk about. Why not just remain silent? If I say something, Puerto Rico will also be in shock." Nawat further explains why he claims not to have revealed everything yet: "I haven't done so yet because I still want to 'save the Miss Universe competition.' We can't let it fall into the hands of this mafia gang. I'm a CEO who stands on the side of truth." These are extremely serious words, spoken at a time when the organization is already weakened by a series of scandals and controversies.
Raúl Rocha was challenged: "Come and talk!"
Nawat Itsaragrisil then directly addressed Raúl Rocha, Ronald Day, and Maria José Unda, asking them to come forward and respond publicly. "Stop insulting each other; it's a waste of time. All you do is talk, put on sad faces, and tell lies. Come and speak!" he exclaimed.
This attack takes on a particular dimension in the case of Raúl Rocha. The Mexican co-owner of Miss Universe is himself facing serious legal suspicions in his country. His name has been mentioned in investigations concerning, among other things, suspicions of organized crime, drug trafficking, arms trafficking, fuel smuggling , and suspicious financial transactions. These factors make Nawat's revelations particularly sensitive when he publicly refers to a "mafia gang" and claims to still possess information that could cause a scandal.
Ronald Day at the heart of Nawat's new offensive
This time, Nawat is focusing his attack primarily on Ronald Day, to whom Raúl Rocha entrusted considerable responsibilities within Miss Universe. Now CEO of Miss Universe for the West region, Ronald Day is publicly accused by José Fernández , a former fitness commentator on American Spanish-language television, of sexual misconduct dating back to when the two men worked at Univision. José Fernández claims to have received sexually explicit photos and videos from Ronald Day. According to his testimony, some of the content allegedly showed Day masturbating, participating in an orgy, or having sex with a woman. Fernández also claims that Ronald Day invited him to his home and asked for sexual favors. He maintains that he refused. These accusations were already public when Ronald Day continued to enjoy Raúl Rocha's confidence. Since then, his importance within Miss Universe has grown even further, as he has become CEO for the West region.
José Fernández claims to have suffered professional reprisals.
José Fernández also maintains that his refusal of Ronald Day's alleged advances was met with professional repercussions. According to him, his access to Univision's offices was revoked, his badge deactivated, and several of his television and radio appearances were removed. He claims to have reported the situation internally and shown some of the messages he says he received to a human resources manager. However, he states that he did not initiate legal proceedings at the time. It is this matter that Nawat is now directly bringing back into the spotlight by publicly questioning Ronald Day's continued presence in such a prominent position.
"Victims can contact MGI"
Nawat Itsaragrisil is now going much further by offering assistance to those who believe they have been victims of Ronald Day. "Is it true that he has a sexual harassment case? Victims can contact MGI and we will help them with the legal process ," he states. The head of MGI thus assures that he is willing to help those who come forward with their claims. Nawat continues: "We must stop letting him take advantage of the female candidates. Stop treating the female candidates like children's toys. Enough is enough!" Following the accusations already made by José Fernández , the Thai executive's remarks once again place Ronald Day and those who chose to entrust him with their responsibilities in the face of particularly embarrassing questions.
The "dignity of women" invoked by Raúl Rocha in the face of his own choices
The situation is all the more problematic given that Raúl Rocha had placed the protection of the contestants at the heart of his speech during the Miss Universe 2025 crisis in Thailand. After the confrontation between Nawat and Fátima Bosch, the Mexican president invoked the dignity, integrity, and well-being of the participants to justify his intervention. A delegation was then sent to regain control of the proceedings. Among the men chosen by Raúl Rocha was none other than Ronald Day.
The contradiction raised today by Nawat is therefore particularly embarrassing: how can the protection of women be made an absolute principle while maintaining confidence in a leader already publicly targeted by accusations of sexual harassment? Especially since Raúl Rocha cannot claim to have only just discovered the existence of this affair.
Nawat had already warned about Ronald Day in 2025
During Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand, Nawat Itsaragrisil had already publicly addressed the accusations concerning Ronald Day and challenged his presence in the organization. Raúl Rocha was therefore aware of the controversy when he continued to rely on him. Since then, Ronald Day has obtained an even more prominent position, becoming CEO of Miss Universe for the West Region. It is this promotion that Nawat is now directly challenging.
The controversial coronation of Fatima Bosch also remains in the background.
This new offensive also comes as the Miss Universe pageant has yet to resolve the controversy surrounding the crowning of Fatima Bosch in November 2025. Several people involved in the process have publicly contested her election or its conduct. Omar Harfouch left the judging panel before the final and denounced the existence of a parallel selection process, before publicly challenging the legitimacy of the result. Natalie Glebova, Miss Universe 2005 and a member of the 2025 judging panel, later stated that she had questioned several other judges after the election. According to her, six of the eight judges she spoke with indicated that they had not voted for Fatima Bosch . Glebova herself stated that she had not chosen Miss Mexico. Louie Heredia, also a member of the judging panel, also publicly stated that he had not voted for her.

This is ultimately the central question raised by this latest revelation. Nawat Itsaragrisil explicitly states that he still possesses a great deal of information and that he could reveal it. Crucially, he directly links his potential revelations to Puerto Rico, the future host country of Miss Universe 2026.
