Sunny Easter in the south, grey skies in the north: contrasting weather across France

This Easter Sunday is shaping up to be generally pleasant, but with contrasting conditions across the country. While the southern half enjoys mostly sunny weather, ideal for outings and Easter egg hunts, the north remains under grey skies with some light, localized rain between the Pays de la Loire and the Grand Est regions.

The risk of precipitation remains limited, with only a few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms possible late in the day between the Massif Central and the Jura Mountains. Elsewhere, the weather remains mostly dry, and sunny spells return in the afternoon between Brittany and Normandy after a gloomy morning.

Temperatures also show a marked contrast. In the north, they range between 12 and 15°C under the clouds, making it feel quite cool. In contrast, the south enjoys a well-established spring-like atmosphere, with highs of up to 25°C in Lyon, 23°C in Toulouse, and 20°C in Bordeaux, making for a particularly mild and sunny Sunday.
