After a brief disturbance on Saturday, the weather remains generally calm across France on Sunday, with mostly sunny skies. However, a change is expected with showers affecting the east of the country in the morning, while a few isolated thunderstorms will develop in the south throughout the day.
The north is experiencing more stable weather thanks to the return of a high-pressure system, but at the cost of a significant drop in temperatures. The morning will be cool with lows of 4 to 8°C, and highs will struggle to reach 15 to 18°C in the afternoon, several degrees lower than the previous day. Morning showers, from the Grand Est region to Burgundy, will remain light and dissipate quickly.
In the south, the weather remains milder, even warm in places. Temperatures are still reaching 25°C between Toulouse and Provence. While it will remain mostly dry, a few isolated thunderstorms may develop in the afternoon, especially near the Pyrenees, the Massif Central, and the Alps.
Overall, the contrast remains marked between a cooler north and a south that still feels very spring-like. Late in the day, a few isolated showers could still develop near mountainous areas, without any significant widespread deterioration in the weather.
