Since 2023, the magazine press group Prisma Media, publisher of emblematic titles such as “Voici” or “Télé Loisirs”, has been resolutely engaged in a series of innovative projects exploiting the capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI). From automated article writing to the creation of podcasts with cloned voices, including the development of a chatbot to interact with readers, Prisma explores the multiple facets of AI to anticipate market developments.

Pascale Socquet, general director of Prisma Media, guest on France Info this Wednesday, shared this vision. She underlined that the Vivendi subsidiary is considering new acquisitions or creations, after a year 2023 marked by the successful launch of around ten new titles.

The financial results recently presented by Prisma Media attest to its leading position in the French media landscape. With more than 35 titles to its credit, including influential magazines such as “Femme Actuelle”, “Télé-Loisirs”, and “Capital”, the group recorded a notable increase of 0,7% in its sales. This success is the result of a year 2023 rich in innovations, marked by the launch of new magazines such as Harper's Bazaar, as well as the reinvention of existing formulas to meet the expectations of a constantly evolving audience.

The dynamism of Prisma Media is also manifested through its commitment to areas such as luxury, with the acquisition of specialized magazines such as IDEAT and The Good Life, which translates into positive financial spinoffs and diversification of its target audience. The group also strengthened its presence in the health sector thanks to the acquisition of the digital assets of the M6 group, notably Passeport Santé, thus strengthening its leading position in this area.

As part of its ambitious projects, Prisma Media has undertaken to relaunch the magazine "Capital", France's leading economic brand, with a redesigned formula to address themes such as green technology, international, lifestyle, art of living and sport business. This initiative is accompanied by the launch of an improved digital version and a podcast, recorded with a cloned voice, demonstrating the group's continued commitment to exploring the opportunities offered by new technologies.

Despite its growing investment in AI, Prisma Media remains committed to the importance of the role of journalists. Pascale Socquet emphasizes that AI is a complementary tool, and that the presence of a journalist remains essential at all stages of the editorial process to guarantee the veracity and quality of the information disseminated.

In conclusion, Prisma Media positions itself as a pioneer of innovation in the field of magazine publishing, capitalizing on advances in AI to offer its readers quality content, while preserving the fundamental values of journalism.
