Instagram deletes L'Incorrect's account: the magazine denounces censorship and takes legal action

After the first account was shut down at the end of May, a new account, despite being verified and confirmed, was also deactivated on June 8. In September 2025, the magazine notably published video excerpts showing a conversation between journalists Patrick Cohen and Thomas Legrand and several Socialist Party officials in a Parisian café. These images sparked significant controversy and reignited the debate on the impartiality of public broadcasting, journalistic ethics, and the relationships between certain journalists and the political sphere.

For the editorial staff, the issue now extends beyond the case of L'Incorrect alone. It more broadly concerns the growing power of major digital platforms over the flow of information and the visibility of media outlets.
