A major project for fans of the famous video game. A space entirely dedicated to the world of Minecraft will open its doors in 2027 at Chessington World of Adventures, southwest London. Named "Minecraft World," this new land promises a life-size immersion in one of the most popular games of all time.
A world faithful to the game, with attractions and immersive experiences.
Conceived by Merlin Entertainments in collaboration with Mojang Studios, this park will offer several attractions directly inspired by the blocky world of Minecraft. Among them are brand-new roller coasters, as well as play areas built from the game's famous blocks, and themed shops and restaurants.
The stated goal is to allow visitors to literally enter the "Overworld," the game's main dimension, and experience an interactive adventure true to its aesthetic and spirit. The developers also promise to recapture the offbeat humor that has made the franchise so successful.
An ambitious project for a global phenomenon
This new space represents an estimated investment of 57 million euros. It is part of a broader strategy to expand the Minecraft universe beyond the video game, already strengthened by the success of its 2025 film adaptation.
Created in 2009, Minecraft remains the best-selling video game in the world, with over 350 million copies sold. Its influence extends far beyond gaming, now reaching cinema, merchandise, and soon, theme parks.
Located about 20 kilometers from London, the 52-hectare Chessington World of Adventures park will welcome this new attraction in 2027, although a specific date has not yet been announced. This opening is expected to attract visitors from all over Europe, drawn by this unique immersive experience.
