Nadia Farès passed away at the age of 57, a few days after a serious accident in a Parisian swimming pool, where she was found unconscious before being hospitalized in critical condition. Her daughters, Cylia and Shana Chasman, announced her death.
Born in Marrakech in 1968 to a Moroccan father and a mother of Armenian descent, she grew up in Nice before moving to Paris to pursue her dreams. Discovered in the 1990s, she worked with directors such as Alexandre Arcady, Claude Lelouch, and Bernie Bonvoisin, before making a lasting impression on audiences with... The Crimson RiversAfter a hiatus in her career, she returned to the screen in the series Marseille then in several films and series, confirming the uniqueness of a career spanning popular cinema, action films and television.

Interview: Hello Nadia. Your rise to fame has been meteoric!
Nadia Farès: Because of the "resemblance" phenomenon with Cindy Crawford! People were always talking about the French "Cindy." As far as film was concerned, it didn't help me at all. Far from it!
Does the comparison annoy you?
Cindy Crawford is walking around with my face everywhere. I should sue her!Laughter) Finally, I'm not going to gouge out my eye just to stop looking like him!
What do you do with it?
I'm investing a lot in music. I'm working on an album: it will be a way for me to explore my full potential. I'll show all my facets! From extreme gentleness to extreme violence!
So, what advantages do you use to get what you want?
I'm not a manipulator; I'm a very frank person. I say things to people's faces! However, in an emergency, we must know how to use our enemies' weapons… But I'm not in that frame of mind!
Do you like money?
Of course! It's hypocritical to say otherwise. You shouldn't be ashamed once you know why you earned it. I turned down certain films and commercials where I could have made a lot of money. It's a real choice: if you're going to see your face on TV every thirty seconds, you might as well buy into the concept! I'm not willing to do anything for money!
What do you find most attractive in a man?
An honest look, and I want a man to surprise me with his intelligence. Humor and a touch of madness too—I love it when people are a little crazy! I like a man who's realistic without being pessimistic. There's a balance to be found between dreams and reality.
Are you a go-getter or a wait-and-see type?
Both! The game of seduction is the most exciting thing. I'm quite athletic; if someone throws me a ball, I'll take it right away. Then again, it depends on who throws it and how…
Are women jealous of you?
Jealousy is human. Life is unfair; it gives some people gifts and not others. If you're unhappy with yourself, unattractive, and only 1,20 meters tall with your arms raised, you have every reason to be envious. Since I'm privileged, I try not to stir up jealousy. For example, married men are a definite no-go!
Were you proposed to?
Several times! I kept thinking, "How awful!" Now I think we have to give ourselves a chance to believe. Today I really want it, but we need to find the right dad!

I'm still waiting for Prince Charming…
