Hamas announced Friday evening that it accepts the release of all Israeli hostages, both living and deceased, as part of the plan proposed by Donald Trump for Gaza. The Islamist movement states it is ready to immediately begin negotiations through mediators and reaffirms its agreement to entrust the administration of the enclave to independent technocrats.

In its statement, Hamas also welcomed international efforts, particularly those of Arab countries, as well as the involvement of the former US president. This opening marks a major step in discussions on the future of Gaza, as the hostage issue has remained a central issue in negotiations since the beginning of the conflict.
