The Ukrainian army is increasingly relying on artificial intelligence to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of its drone strikes as fighting continues in the east of the country. Specialized units say these technologies now play a crucial role in their ability to target long-range objectives.

A drone pilot known by the call sign "Mex," a member of the 58th Independent Rifle Brigade, explained that he recently carried out an attack against a high-value target located nearly 20 kilometers away. According to him, without an AI-assisted targeting system, hitting a Russian tank at such a distance would have been impossible.

The tools used provide additional information to estimate the trajectory, adjust flight parameters, and identify optimal impact points. They are designed to function despite the frequent electronic jamming on the front line, a problem that has become central to the technological warfare between the two armies.

Ukrainian military officials maintain that these systems do not replace human operators, but significantly enhance their effectiveness. They emphasize that Russia is also deploying advanced detection and countermeasures capabilities, making each technological advancement crucial for maintaining an operational advantage.

While fighting remains intense in the Kharkiv region and elsewhere, Ukraine continues to invest in drone and AI capabilities, convinced that these innovations will play a vital role in the continuation of the conflict.
