A Russian guided airstrike hit the city of Zaporizhzhia in southern Ukraine in broad daylight on Tuesday, killing at least three people and wounding thirteen others.
The attack targeted residential areas, according to the local military administration. A guided bomb struck a nine-story apartment building, causing civilian casualties.
Local authorities confirmed the death toll during the day, without ruling out that the number of victims could rise as rescue workers progress through the rubble.
Zaporizhzhia, a city in southern Ukraine whose nuclear power plant has been under Russian control since 2022, is regularly targeted by airstrikes. Bombing residential buildings in broad daylight has been a documented practice since the beginning of the large-scale invasion.
