The Gulf on high alert: Trump cancels his attendance at his son's wedding

Tensions are rising in the Persian Gulf, where GPS and GNSS interference continues to be reported in several sensitive areas, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz, the Gulf of Oman, and regional maritime approaches. This interference complicates navigation for ships and heightens concerns in a context already marked by tensions between the United States, Iran, Israel, and their regional allies.

This GPS jamming constitutes a signal of high operational tension. By disrupting positioning systems, it can distort displayed trajectories, create false signals, disrupt trade routes, and increase the risk of incidents at sea or in the air. In an area as strategic as the Strait of Hormuz, through which a huge portion of global energy trade passes, this type of interference is taken very seriously.

No strike orders have been officially announced, but the level of vigilance remains high.

Israel, Lebanon, Iran: a region under high surveillance

Tensions are not confined to the Gulf. Israel continues to face the risk of missile and drone attacks related to the conflict with Iran and regional armed groups, particularly in Lebanon. This accumulation of potential fronts fuels fears of a wider conflagration, even if no general escalation has been confirmed at this stage.

The next few hours will be closely watched. An intensification of the jamming, an unusual military movement, or a diplomatic rupture could tip the situation…
