Attack on the US embassy in Riyadh: Trump promises a response "soon"

The president of the United States, Donald Trumpannounced that his country would respond " Soon " to the attack targeting the American embassy in Riyadh. The diplomatic building was targeted by drones on Monday night.

When asked about the nature and timing of a possible response, the head of state declared: "You'll find out soon."This statement comes as the conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States enters its third day, escalating tensions in the Middle East.

The attack on the US embassy in Saudi Arabia is the latest episode in a series of heightened regional tensions. At this stage, the US administration has not provided any further details regarding the modalities or timing of a military or diplomatic response.

The State Department is calling on Americans to leave several Middle Eastern countries

Furthermore, the US State Department has urged US citizens to leave more than a dozen Middle Eastern countries, due to "serious security risks".

"Depart now via commercial routes due to serious security risks.", the State Department requests, according to a message posted on the social network X by Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs, Mora Namdar.

The countries concerned by this recommendation are Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Israel.

US authorities have not indicated whether specific evacuation operations are planned. However, they recommend that citizens in these countries leave the region as soon as possible using the remaining commercial flights, given the particularly unstable regional situation.
