XPeng Aeroht has unveiled plans to produce a unique vehicle powered by a small aircraft.
The company's general manager of international communications said that mass production of the Land Aircraft Carrier (LAC) vehicle is planned for the first half of next year.
The vehicle is 5,5 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 2 meters high, and can accommodate four passengers. Instead of a conventional rear trunk, it has a special cabin that houses a small two-seater helicopter.
According to experts at XPeng Aeroht, although the vehicle is relatively large, it can be easily parked in a standard parking space or underground parking. With the push of a button, the aircraft can be separated from the vehicle in less than 5 minutes.
The car is equipped with a battery that allows it to travel approximately 1 km on a single charge. It can be used as a conventional vehicle for travel enthusiasts or as a backup vehicle in an emergency.
XPeng Aeroht said it is currently testing its new vehicle in northern China to assess its cold-weather performance. The model will initially be aimed at the Chinese market, but could be exported to other countries in the future.
