Will Apple launch the iPhone 17 next year?

Apple introduced its all-new iPhone 16 earlier this year, adding a new category to its iPhone lineup.

Although this model complements the previous iPhone SE line, the fact that it includes a serial number like other iPhones has raised questions: will Apple now launch a new "e" series iPhone every year?

According to a report from 9TO5Mac, which relayed information from Bloomberg, Apple has not yet made a final decision on whether or not to continue the "e" series in the future.

While the iPhone 16e is a simplified version of the iPhone 16, it represents a meaningful overhaul of the more affordable iPhone SE category.

Another important point is that Apple has promoted the iPhone 16e as a variant of the iPhone 16 rather than a new iPhone SE, which gives it greater appeal, especially in markets like China.

Although no decision has been made yet, Apple has several months before it has to make a decision.

If an iPhone 17e were to be launched, it would likely arrive around the same time as the previous iPhone SEs and the current iPhone 16e, either in late winter or early spring, or less than a year from now.

In any case, extending the "iPhone e" series would seem logical for Apple if it wants to continue to keep pace with the evolving budget smartphone market.
