Real Madrid: Tchouaméni and Valverde fined 500.000 euros each after their altercation

Real Madrid has fined Aurélien Tchouaméni and Federico Valverde €500.000 each following the opening of internal disciplinary proceedings. The two midfielders were sanctioned after a fight broke out during training. This decision brings to a close the internal investigation initiated by the Madrid club.

Apologies were offered in the locker room

Both players were questioned as part of the investigation. During this hearing, Tchouaméni and Valverde expressed their regret and offered mutual apologies. They also apologized to the club, their teammates, the coaching staff, and the fans.

A financial penalty, not a sporting one.

Real Madrid has opted for a purely financial sanction. The two players will not receive a sporting suspension as part of this internal procedure. The club is therefore imposing a heavy disciplinary sanction on them, without officially excluding them from the first team.

Valverde injured his head

As a reminder, Federico Valverde suffered a head injury in the collision and received medical attention. The Uruguayan player was hospitalized and then released, with an estimated rest period of 10 to 14 days.
