The Flames 2026: the public can vote for their favorite artists until March 22nd

The Flames ceremony is preparing for its fourth edition. Since Monday, March 9, the public has been able to vote for the artists and projects that made their mark in 2025. Voting will remain open until March 22, before the awards ceremony scheduled for April 23, 2026.

Created by the media outlets Yard and Booska-P, the ceremony has established itself in a few years as a major event for popular cultures and the rap, R&B and afro scenes, which have long been underrepresented in major traditional music ceremonies.

A ceremony that relies on the public vote

Some of the trophies are awarded based on fan votes, while others are decided by a jury of industry professionals. The organizers' stated goal is to best reflect the tastes of the audience that brings these music scenes to life.

Last year, more than 300,000 people participated in the vote, proof of the growing enthusiasm surrounding the ceremony.

To participate, simply create an account on the official Flammes website and select your favorite artists or projects from the various categories. Users can also listen to the nominated tracks and albums again using an integrated Spotify player.

A new way to vote via Spotify

A new feature has been introduced this year: it's now possible to vote directly from Spotify for the Spotify Flame Album of the Year category. This allows users to support a project without having to visit the awards ceremony's website.

In total, more than 200 artists and projects are being put to a public vote.

The results will be revealed at the Flames 2026 ceremony, held on April 23. The event will once again celebrate the artists who have made their mark on the year's music scene in rap and popular culture.
