A man was shot and wounded on Saturday in Vénissieux, near Lyon, during a daytime shooting at the foot of an apartment building. Hit twice, he was treated by emergency services; his injuries are not life-threatening.
The incident occurred in the early afternoon in front of a building on Boulevard Irène-Joliot-Curie. According to initial reports, several hooded and armed individuals opened fire repeatedly, targeting a young man who attempted to flee.

Videos circulating on social media show several shots being fired, as well as shots fired into the air as the assailants fled. The victim, known to police, was hit but was quickly evacuated.
