A 17-year-old boy was killed Saturday evening in a knife attack at a campsite in Villevaudé, Seine-et-Marne. The incident occurred at the Le Parc de Paris campsite, where two people reportedly entered before searching for the victim.
According to initial findings of the investigation, the young man was stabbed around 19:40 p.m. before the assailants fled. Emergency services were unable to save the teenager, who died from his injuries.
A love rivalry at the heart of the investigation
Investigators quickly apprehended a suspect, also a minor aged 17, in Seine-Saint-Denis. According to the Meaux prosecutor's office, the leading theory is that there was a romantic rivalry between the victim and the suspect.
The criminal investigation department has been tasked with the investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy and the possible role of other people present at the time of the attack.
