A violent brawl broke out in the early hours of Sunday morning, around 2 a.m., during the village dance at the Sarras village fair in northern Ardèche. The confrontation, involving about twenty young people, left five injured, four of them slightly hurt. Emergency services quickly arrived on the scene to treat the victims.
A festive event abruptly interrupted
The incident forced organizers to prematurely end the weekend's planned festivities. A local official, questioned about the events, said he was deeply shocked by the outbreak of violence. "In 40 years, I've never seen anything like it," he declared, emphasizing the exceptional nature of the brawl in a usually peaceful community.
An investigation is underway to identify those responsible.
