Orly: An EasyJet plane forced to abort its flight after fireworks were set off

An EasyJet plane had to abort its landing approach at Orly airport after fireworks were observed being fired near the runways. The aircraft, arriving from Venice, was eventually able to land safely after a subsequent approach.

According to initial reports, the pilot decided to climb after spotting smoke in the landing zone. The airline assured that this safety maneuver, which is standard aviation procedure, did not compromise passenger safety at any time.

Shots fired during a festive procession

The investigation is focusing on shots fired from neighboring towns, notably Ablon-sur-Seine and Villeneuve-le-Roi. Images show several individuals firing mortars from a vehicle, possibly as part of a wedding procession.

These shots, which appear to have been celebratory but unauthorized, nonetheless disrupted the aircraft's approach. At this stage, no arrests have been reported, and the exact circumstances remain to be determined by investigators.
