A 38-year-old man, employed as a bouncer at a nightclub, was shot and killed in Grenoble in the early hours of Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. in Place Notre-Dame, in the city center, where the victim was struck by several bullets and died at the scene.
A 26-year-old woman, who was nearby at the time of the incident, was also injured in the arm. Described as a bystander, she was hospitalized but her injuries are not life-threatening.
An investigation has been opened without any favored leads.
Initial findings revealed several 9mm shell casings at the scene. Witnesses suggest the involvement of a single shooter, but their identity and motive have not yet been established.
The prosecutor's office indicated that no leads were being prioritized at this time. An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the shooting, which occurred in an area that is usually busy at night.
