Germany: A passenger forgets a package containing 20 tarantulas on a train

An unusual discovery was made on a regional train in southwestern Germany, where about twenty tarantulas were found in a package left behind by a passenger. The incident occurred on a line connecting Herrenberg and Tübingen stations, without disrupting train traffic.

It was the train driver who raised the alarm after spotting a package labeled "spiders and scorpions". Upon arrival at Tübingen station, federal police inspected the package and discovered about twenty tarantulas inside, carefully packaged according to transport regulations.

The animals were temporarily seized by the authorities while their owner was identified. The owner, a 31-year-old woman, was quickly located by the police.

The traveler was able to retrieve her package the same day, as the transport conditions were deemed satisfactory. According to the authorities, no violations were found and no charges were filed against her.

The incident did not cause any traffic disruption or endanger the public, as the tarantulas were properly packaged.
