Sitting in a swimsuit on board a boat, standing in his underwear in a kitchen or diving under the water of a swimming pool... Unpublished and personal shots of Bashar al-Assad, the former deposed Syrian president, have been invading social networks since the fall of his regime last Sunday.
These photos, found in the presidential residence after it was stormed by opponents and posted online by the rebels, offer a unique insight into the dictator's private life. These images, halfway between trivial and embarrassing, quickly fueled online mockery.
But among the photos revealed by the rebels, Two of them are particularly noteworthy. : we see in fact a man who seems to be Bashar al-Assad, shirtless on a boat, kissing a boy on the mouth. Amazing photos that would suggest that the Syrian dictator did not only like women, if it is indeed him in the photos. If obviously, there is nothing reprehensible in this, we imagine that the tyrant did not want his homosexuality where bisexuality are known to the general public. This hidden side of Bashar al-Assad is indeed very far from the rigid and authoritarian image he projected to the world...
