It was his brother, Rhodri Davies, who announced the news on Instagram on Saturday: actor Owain Rhys Davies passed away suddenly at the age of 44. "While some questions remain unanswered regarding the circumstances of his death, from what we know at this time, Owain passed away suddenly, peacefully and of natural causes," the family's message stated. "We know his passing will leave a huge void for many, and knowing he was so loved brings us great comfort," added his brother, who is survived by his father, Conway. His mother passed away in 2021.
Agent Wilson in Twin Peaks, a West End scene, and two projects in post-production
Originally from Wales, Owain Rhys Davies rose to fame with his role as Agent Wilson in Twin Peaks: The Return, the 2017 reboot of David Lynch's cult series. He also starred in the series The OA alongside Jason Isaacs and Brit Marling, and in the film Alice Through the Looking Glass. His career also included roles in the television series The Indian Doctor, My Dead Ex, and A Serial Killer's Guide to Life. On stage, he enjoyed considerable success in London's West End in major productions such as Mamma Mia!, The Wizard of Oz, and The Forum at the Royal National Theatre. He had just finished filming his two latest projects, Jeff the Killer and La Fantasia, which are currently in post-production.
