While the legendary TV game show Intercity is preparing to make its big comeback on France Télévisions in the summer of 2025, this new edition, which will be hosted by Nagui for four prime time slots, is already causing controversy. In question, the absence of the famous cows which made the game so special and without which Intercity is not quite anymore Intercity...

Guest on the show C the weekly On France 5, Nagui spoke to respond to criticism, including the boycott of several emblematic cities such as Dax and Mont-de-Marsan. During his speech, a message from Charles Dayot, mayor of Mont-de-Marsan, was broadcast on the screen. The elected official expressed his attachment to the traditions of the game: "I think you can put the cows back in Intervilles. This game is linked to the Landes cow because it is unpredictable, it is playful, that's where there are the bowls, the comic aspect!"

Nagui retorted, recalling that, in his opinion, animal welfare could no longer be ignored: "I have no doubt that Landes cows are happy in freedom. That's why je would like them to remain happy, and therefore free. There are plenty of people who play games in the pool in the summer, without there necessarily being a little cow in their pool. I don't think it's the natural element of a little cow to be in a pool or on a track with black soap.

To support his point, the host also recalled a tragic incident in 2005 that marked a turning point in his perception of the game, recalling: "In 2005, there was a cow that died during rehearsals. So when you're doing rehearsals, you're laughing and the cow stops and collapses... There's no mistreatment, she could have died in the wild in her field, she died before our eyes. Was the game responsible at that time for this incident, this accident, when they are normally in the prime of life? I don't know."

The return ofIntercity Will cows without cows have the same success as when they were present? Answer next summer…
