Donald Trump has been appointed “Personality of the year 2024” the magazine Time, an award that celebrates his spectacular return to the American political scene.
Re-elected president by a landslide despite legal affairs and two assassination attempts, Donald Trump symbolizes, according to the editor-in-chief, Sam Jacobs, “a resurgence of populism” and total “growing distrust of institutions”.
Sam Jacobs said: “For leading a historic comeback, reshaping the presidency and redefining America’s role in the world, Trump is our Person of the Year.”
