The 2025 income tax filing season ends this Thursday, June 4th, at 23:59 PM for taxpayers in the last remaining departments concerned. This applies to residents of areas stretching from Meuse (55) to Mayotte (976), who must complete their filings before this deadline. For other departments, the deadlines have already passed since the end of May, according to a staggered schedule by geographic area.
Mandatory verification of pre-filled data
Online filing remains mandatory for the vast majority of households. Even taxpayers eligible for automatic filing should verify the accuracy of the information pre-filled by the tax authorities, particularly taxable income and withholding taxes deducted in 2025. The tax authorities recommend referring to the annual summary on the payslip or pension statement from last December to check this data.
The amounts presented by the tax authorities now include income from the collaborative economy and all payments subject to withholding tax. Any corrections or additional information must be entered before the deadline to avoid potential late payment penalties. The tax system automatically adjusts the tax calculation based on the changes made by the taxpayer.
