Wednesday cinema. Release of the film 4 Zeros, sequel to 3 Zeros, more than 20 years later. Behind the scenes of football, Fabien Onteniente revisits the football comedy and invites a huge number of guests: from Paul Pogba to Stomy Bugsy, from Rolland Courbis to Mohamed Henni, from the collective The skylight to Bradley Barcola (PSG), many of them joined the cast, sometimes for a few seconds on screen.
This is a first for them, Olivia and Rolland Courbis together on the big screen. Not in the same scene, of course, but in the same film. Father and daughter, reunited. A necessarily magical moment for them.
Interview was able to speak with the Courbis family at their home in Paris for nearly 30 minutes. A warm and friendly sequence. With full anecdotes.
Thibaud Vézirian. In 4 Zéros, you play a football player from the Haricots d'Arpajon... You come from a dance background, how come you took football lessons with dad?
Olivia Courbis. Fabien Onteniente told me, “ ok, that's good, you passed your tests, you will do Beep Beep!'. I asked my father how to start playing football. And I told Fabien to give me an answer quickly, because the shoot was in a month and a half. He imagined that I had probably already played football, that it was in the family... Not at all. I had never played football! I was put in touch with Fabrice Abriel (the current coach of the women's PSG) and I went to the girls of Fleury for 3 weeks. At the end of the month, I knew how to drive the ball. But during the shoot, Fabien asked me to do leg passes! I looked at Fabrice Abriel with a slightly surprised look... He told me to do slaloms. Fabien screamed (she laughs) 'what's going on?'. In 3 weeks, I couldn't become Mbappé or Pogba, it's in the theme of the film...
TV Rolland, what does it feel like to see your daughter as a footballer?
Rolland Courbis. When there was women's football 23 years ago in 3 Zeros, it was almost anticipation. Now, it has become something completely natural. We are used to it.
TV Olivia, what was that face-to-face scene with Isabelle Nanty like?
Olivia Curved. She's an incredible woman. I had two days of filming with her. We started by filming me, she gave me so much strength off camera. It was crazy.
TV So you didn't play a father-daughter scene. Do we still cross paths during such a shoot?
Olivia Curved. Yes and no, only when I made him revise his texts!
Rolland Courbis. I think that was the most painful moment! She didn't let anything go. If I forgot a little word or anything, hop, she wanted me to redo the whole thing.
Olivia Courbis. Improvisation only comes when you are square. Freedom only comes if you have complete control over your text.
TV Actor, consultant, coach, player… Are there any similarities?
Rolland Courbis. When you are a coach, or even a player, to get a penalty, you also have to be a good actor. No joke, in the When preparing for a match, a coach must also become an actor in order to motivate the troops.
