Xenomorphs are invading Earth! Planned for theSummer 2025 on Disney +, series Alien: Earth, developed by Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion), takes place in 2120i.e two years before the events ofAlien, the eighth passenger by Ridley Scott. For the first time in the saga, the action will not take place in space, but rather on our planet.
A chilling teaser and a poster that pays homage to the saga
In one new teaser unveiled on January 27, we see a facehugger – the terrifying creature capable of infecting humans – trying to escape from a spaceship about to crash into earth and a first disturbing glimpse of what awaits the spectators.
The official poster of the series also plays on the nostalgia of the fans with the phrase “We were safer in space”, a direct nod to the cult slogan of the first film: “In space, no one can hear you scream”.
Synopsis: An alien threat on Earth
The official summary promises maximum tension:
“When a mysterious spaceship crashes to Earth, a young woman and a group of soldiers make a terrifying discovery that puts them face to face with the greatest threat on the planet. As they explore the wreckage of the crash, they encounter predatory life forms more threatening than they could have ever imagined.”
Unlike the previous games which took place in isolated ships or on hostile planets, Alien: Earthdive horror directly into our daily lives. An approach that, according to Noah Hawley, will accentuate the visceral fearXenomorphs:
“There is something particularly chilling about seeing a Xenomorph moving across Earth’s landscapes. You will lock your door that night.”

Huge anticipation for the first Alien series
With already seven films to his credit, the franchise Alien had never been adapted into a series. After the film Alien: Romulus, expected in August 2024, Alien: Earth promises to renew mythology of the saga by exploring a whole new angle.
FX and Disney +, who are responsible for production and distribution, are still tight-lipped about the details. But with the promotion ramping up, we can expect other revelations by summer.
One thing is certain: this time, the horror will not come from space, but from our own planet.
