Louis Roederer in exclusive negotiations to acquire an estate in Burgundy

The Champagne Louis Roederer group has announced that it has entered into exclusive negotiations to acquire Domaine Pierre Damoy, located in Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy. This transaction concerns an estate renowned for its Grand Cru wines in the heart of the Côte de Nuits.

The estate comprises approximately eight hectares of vineyards, primarily located in prestigious appellations such as Chambertin, Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, and Chapelle-Chambertin. The agreement remains subject to the signing of final documents and the usual approvals.

A diversification strategy

Founded in 1776 and based in Reims, Louis Roederer cultivates 250 hectares of vineyards, a significant portion of which is certified organic. For several years, the group has pursued a strategy aimed at expanding its activities beyond champagne.

Through its Roederer Collection, the company already encompasses several wine estates as well as activities in distribution and luxury hospitality. The amount of this potential acquisition has not been disclosed.
