European land armament specialist KNDS has finalized the integration of the defense activities of the French company Texelis, marking a new step in its industrial consolidation strategy. This operation is accompanied by a rebranding of the acquired entity, now integrated under a new structure dedicated to military mobility.
With this acquisition, the group intends to strengthen its expertise in key areas related to the performance of military vehicles, particularly transmission systems and mobility technologies. This expertise covers both wheeled vehicles and tracked platforms, which have become essential in modern operations.
A lever for European industrial sovereignty
For KNDS, this acquisition aims to secure critical skills and better meet the growing demand for military equipment in an international context marked by rearmament and geopolitical tensions. The group thus intends to consolidate its position against international competition, particularly from the United States and Germany.
Already partners in several major programs, the two companies are strengthening an industrial partnership that began several years ago. This integration should also accelerate export development and support production capacity, as KNDS experiences strong growth in its business and orders.
