The American e-commerce giant Amazon announced on Monday the creation of three new logistics centers in France, an investment expected to generate 1.000 additional permanent jobs. This announcement coincides with the Choose France summit, organized annually by the Élysée Palace to attract foreign investment to the country.
The new sites will be located in the Pays de la Loire, Île-de-France, and Nouvelle-Aquitaine regions. Amazon specified that they will include a distribution center and two delivery stations. The company states its intention to continue developing its logistics network to support the growth of its business in France.
More than 8.000 jobs promised by 2028
According to Amazon, these new locations are in addition to the distribution center already announced in Ensisheim, Alsace, which is scheduled to open at the end of 2027. All four of these projects represent more than 400 million euros of investment and more than 3.000 permanent jobs in the long term.
These announcements are part of the company's ambitious plan unveiled in early May, which includes over €15 billion in investments in France by 2028. Amazon estimates that this program will create more than 8.000 additional jobs in the country, while also strengthening its capabilities in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and logistics. Present in France since 2000, the company now boasts over 25.000 permanent employees across more than 35 sites.
