Presidential election 2027: Quentin Bataillon joins Édouard Philippe

Former Renaissance MP for the Loire region, Quentin Bataillon, is continuing his rapprochement with Édouard Philippe. According to several reliable sources, he has decided to join forces with the former Prime Minister for the 2027 presidential election.

This arrival comes just hours after the announcement of Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet's support for Édouard Philippe, who continues to structure around himself a network of elected officials and former leaders from the presidential majority.

A new acquisition for Horizons

Quentin Bataillon has been appointed departmental delegate of the Horizons party in the Loire. Former president of the parliamentary inquiry commission on the allocation of TNT frequencies in 2024, he became known to the general public during the highly publicized hearings of media executives and audiovisual managers.

This endorsement illustrates Horizons' strategy of establishing a local presence less than a year before the start of the presidential campaign. The movement founded by Édouard Philippe seeks to strengthen its local network while attracting figures from the Macronist majority.

As the prospect of 2027 takes shape, the former head of government is thus continuing to broaden his political base, with the ambition of establishing himself as one of the main candidates of the center and moderate right.
