In Poitiers, the incumbent Green mayor, Léonore Moncond'huy, led the first round with 28,3% of the vote, according to a Toluna Harris Interactive estimate for M6 and RTL. She finished ahead of Anthony Brottier, a former Macron supporter now running as an independent and considered center-left, who received 23,6%. Behind them, Bertrand Geay, the La France Insoumise candidate allied with the Communists, garnered 12,5%, ahead of the Socialist candidate, François Blanchard (11,5%).
The candidate of the National Rally and the Union of the Right, Charles Rangheard, obtained 10,5%, while the Renaissance candidate, Lucile Parnaudeau, was credited with 10%, opening the way for a potentially very fragmented second round with several lists able to remain.
