Although the Rolls-Royce Spectre, an electric coupe, is one of the most expensive electric cars in the world with a starting price of $400, the British brand is set to introduce an even more powerful and luxurious version, the "Black Badge Spectre". This version is distinguished by increased performance and an extended range, making this car the most powerful ever produced by Rolls-Royce.
It is equipped with an electric motor developing 659 horsepower and 792 lb-ft of torque, allowing acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 4,1 seconds, placing it among the brand's fastest cars.
The Black Badge Spectre uses an all-wheel drive system, distributing power to all four wheels via two electric motors connected to a 102 kWh battery, improving its performance and efficiency.
A touch of luxury
The Black Badge model will offer more power and options for luxury car enthusiasts, with a bolder and more sophisticated style than Rolls-Royce typically offers, including darkened elements and design choices aimed at optimising aerodynamics and reducing air resistance.
The interior of the car is decorated with diamond-shaped technical fibers, complemented by luminous star-shaped decorations.
Two new modes
To fully exploit the capabilities of the Black Badge Spectre, the driver will have to activate two new modes: the "infinity mode", which releases the maximum power of the car for intense needs, and the "spirited mode", which allows to obtain an optimal torque, ideal for dynamic and controlled driving experiences.
Additionally, using 23-inch wheels reduces battery range from 277 miles to 251 miles, while range increases to 266 miles with 22-inch wheels.
Although the exact price of this new car has not been revealed, it is estimated to start at $490.
Rolls-Royce is preparing to launch the top-of-the-range Black Badge Spectre version.
