The death of Nadia Farès brings to the forefront a crucial element for understanding the tragedy: her serious medical history. Deeply committed to sport, health, and a healthy lifestyle, the actress had nevertheless been quietly battling fragile health for a long time. She had revealed that she had undergone brain surgery due to an aneurysm, as well as three heart surgeries in a few years. These medical precedents now shed light on the hypothesis of a heart attack, which is among the first avenues examined after his fatal accident in a Parisian swimming pool.
Nadia Farès did not survive the accident that occurred a week earlier.
The actress died at the age of 57, nearly a week after the accident at the Blanche sports complex in Paris's 9th arrondissement. Her death was announced by her daughters, Cylia and Shana Chasman. Hospitalized at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital after being found unconscious in the pool, she was admitted to intensive care and then placed in an induced coma. In their message, her daughters paid tribute to a woman for whom, they wrote, "France has lost a great artist, but for us, it is above all a mother we have just lost.".
The circumstances of the tragedy in the swimming pool in the 9th arrondissement
Initial findings shed light on what happened on Saturday, April 11, around midday. Nadia Farès was swimming laps in the pool, equipped with fins and a kickboard, when she suddenly lost consciousness after diving in. According Le ParisienA bather present at the scene “immediately dove in and discovered the actress’s lifeless body at the bottom of the pool”The actress was then reportedly “observed by several people in a yoga position at the bottom of the water”. According to initial findings, she remained submerged for between three and four minutes. CPR was performed before firefighters took over, and she was then transported to the hospital in critical condition.
An investigation has been opened, with a medical lead being given priority.
The Paris prosecutor's office has opened an investigation "to determine the cause of the injuries." At this stage, initial findings point to a possible heart attack, possibly linked to his medical history. The investigation is ongoing to establish the precise sequence of events. At this stage, no wrongdoing has been identified or attributed to the management of the facility or the lifeguard present. Interviewed earlier this week, along with several other witnesses, the lifeguard reportedly explained that he had been occupied with a different activity than pool supervision at the time of the incident.

Years ago, I watched “The Nest” and discovered Nadia Fares. The movie was viewed at kill time, which it did, but I was impressed by the female lead's performance in the movie. I have followed her life and career as best as I could ever since. Seeing news of her recent death was difficult for me. Her family have my best wishes.
