A few days after the death of Loana, who was found lifeless at her home in Nice on March 25 at the age of 48, Sophie, presented as her last partner, decided to break her silence on Cyril Hanouna's show on W9.
Since the announcement of Loana's death, numerous rumors have circulated about her close circle, her isolation, and the conditions in which she lived in her final weeks. It is in this climate that Sophie spoke out to directly address the accusations being spread about her.
Sophie denies any kidnapping and rejects the accusations.
Faced with the suspicions that arose after Loana's disappearance, Sophie categorically denied any wrongdoing. She asserted that she had never held Loana against her will, maintained that she was not being held captive, and also disputed the idea that she was on the run. In her testimony, she maintained that Loana remained free to move about as she pleased and that her separation from certain loved ones was a personal decision.
Sophie also rejects any responsibility in the death of the former reality TV contestant. She acknowledges a difficult, sometimes tense relationship, but believes that the accusations against her are based on hasty interpretations and a frenzy surrounding a case that is far from being fully resolved.
The story of a fragile and increasingly conflicted relationship
Sophie describes a daily life that had become complicated. She mentions a relationship marked by repeated arguments, great emotional instability, and a tense atmosphere. According to her, the situation had gradually deteriorated to the point where living together became difficult.
She claims that her last evening with Loana was on March 1st and explains that nothing, in her view, suggested such a dramatic outcome. According to her version of events, Loana then left the premises alone. “She wasn’t being held captive in my home. It was her choice to turn off her phone and cut ties with certain people. She needed to take a step back. She went out regularly, every evening, to walk her dog with me. So she was far from being held captive. It’s absurd. I want to add that the nature of our relationship, the conflicts we may have had, as in all relationships, don’t justify me killing her.”
Testimonies from relatives that reinforce the unanswered questions
While Sophie is now giving her version of events, several of Loana's close friends have painted a more troubling picture of the period leading up to her death. Violette Petrucciani, Loana's mother, spoke of a gradual breakdown in contact with her daughter. Laurent Amar also mentioned growing isolation and a relationship he considered deeply problematic.
What the investigation is now trying to establish
In the legal arena, the investigation opened in Nice aims primarily to determine the precise cause of Loana's death. Initial findings indicate that she died several days prior, and that she suffered a head injury and bruising in the lumbar region. The possibility of a fall backward is among the leads being considered at this stage. Currently, no official evidence suggests the involvement of a third party.
